SHero Thailand works for the elimination of domestic violence and the de-normalization of violence culture in Thailand.
Since our founding in 2016, we have worked to provide legal and emotional support to survivors of violence, lead workshops on gender-based violence protection, and advocate for better access to justice for violence survivors. To achieve our goal, we empower young people to combat violence culture within their community. We believe that anyone can be a hero, or ‘shero’, who create better changes for the community, the country and the world.

“Violence against women is considered normal in Thai culture. It is justified to the point that most survivors of domestic violence are pushed back into abusive relationships. Stuck in the cycle of violence, the survivors often face harsh social pressure and blaming every time they speak up. I know this all too well, as a women’s rights advocate, human rights lawyer and a survivor of violence who had to bring my own case in front of the Thai justice system.”

We stand with survivors by providing legal and emotional support. In our work, we believe in survivor-centred approach with respect to the dignity of survivors in every steps towards their liberation from violence.
Strengthen protection mechanism for survivors
We provide workshops and trainings on GBV protection and case management, while promoting survivor-centred approach to ensure that the rights and dignity of survivors are upheld and respected.
