SHero Thailand, in collaboration with the Nitivajra Institute, under the Office of the Attorney General, and UN Women Asia and the Pacific, is committed to driving meaningful change within the criminal justice system through capacity-building for 36 public prosecutors and multidisciplinary professionals.

Under the framework of “Violence Through Different Lenses”, we have guided everyone on a four-day journey to reframe their thinking, transform their working methods, and harness the power of collaborative networks using Design Thinking and Systems Thinking. This endeavour aims to establish a standard of practice firmly rooted in a survivor-centred approach, explored through a series of thought-provoking and reflective activities—ranging from exploring diversity, acknowledging power dynamics, and deepening our understanding to overcome victim blaming; analysing the landscape of gender-based violence and gender bias embedded within every stage of the justice process; to elevating professional practice through a survivor-centred lens, deeply informed by a trauma-informed approach.

SHero believes that as practitioners gradually change the “lens” through which they view gender-based violence… a future for the Thai criminal justice system that truly stands alongside survivors will no longer be mere idealism.
