SHero Thailand attended the opening ceremony of the WE Center and co-hosted an exhibition, sharing knowledge to empower women and strengthen their capacity.

On February 10, 2026, SHero Thailand was honoured to attend the opening ceremony of the WE Center at the Help Without Frontiers Thailand Foundation. This space was developed under the framework of women’s empowerment and UN Women’s Women, Peace and Security (WPS) principles to serve as a safe space and a mechanism for empowering women within the community. On this occasion, Khun Busayapa Srisompong, Director and Founder of the SHero Thailand Foundation, was invited to moderate a panel discussion on the role of women in local development. The discussion reflected on challenges and operations to promote women’s empowerment across various dimensions, including health, economy, urban transformation, environment, as well as peace and security issues. Furthermore, SHero Thailand co-organised an exhibition to introduce the organisation, while providing knowledge and empowering women. The exhibition presented issues regarding access to justice for women and survivors in Thailand, reflecting the complex journey of navigating the legal system—particularly for local women and marginalised groups who often face structural barriers and multiple layers of oppression compared to those in urban areas. The booth also featured activities to exchange perspectives with participants regarding their roles in supporting survivors to access the justice process safely and fairly. Additionally, it provided information on filing for domestic violence protection orders in court by oneself, without the need for a lawyer, so that women and survivors can confidently exercise their rights and gain actual access to protection. Participation in this event reflects the importance of creating safe spaces and cross-sector collaboration in empowering women and survivors to truly access justice, dignity, and safety.
